Legally required to apply pesticides or herbicides commercially for hire — including weed and brush control we advertise.
Who needs it
Anyone applying pesticides/herbicides for hire. Relevant categories: Ornamental & Turf, and Right-of-Way (fencelines, driveways, gravel lots).
Steps to get it
- 1 Study for and pass the Core (General Standards) exam.
- 2 Pass the category exam(s) you need — Ornamental & Turf and/or Right-of-Way.
- 3 Apply to NMDA with the license fee.
- 4 Earn 4 continuing-education units each year to keep it active.
